(LANSING, MI – July 22, 2025) Legends/ASM Global, the world's leading premium live experiences company, has entered into an agreement with the Lansing Entertainment & Public Facilities Authority (LEPFA) to provide management services for Lansing Center - the city-owned convention and events hub located in the heart of Michigan’s capital.
“Our relationship with Legends/ASM Global marks an exciting new chapter for the Lansing Center,” said Maureen McNulty Saxton, chairwoman of the LEPFA Board of Commissioners. “Its global experience and proven track record in venue management will help us attract new events, enhance guest experiences, and maximize the event and entertainment facility’s role as a vital economic engine for Lansing. We’re proud to welcome them to our community and look forward to what we’ll accomplish together.”
The five-year contract, which went into effect July 1, 2025, also includes management of Groesbeck Golf Course, an 18-hole municipal course celebrating its centennial in 2026, and maintenance services for Jackson Field, home of the Lansing Lugnuts, the High-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics.
“We’re thrilled to partner with LEPFA and bring Legends/ASM Global’s industry-leading expertise to the Lansing Center,” said Dan Hoffend, executive vice president of convention centers for Legends/ASM Global. “This venue is a cornerstone of Lansing’s vibrant downtown, and we see tremendous potential to elevate its impact as a premier destination for meetings, conventions, and live events. We’re excited to collaborate with the city and the community to take the Lansing Center to the next level.”
Lansing Center features nearly 72,000 square feet of column-free exhibit space, 13,320 square feet of ballroom space, and 20 breakout rooms. Located on the banks on the Grand River, the center is just two blocks from Michigan’s State Capitol Building and within a 90-minute drive of 90 percent of the state’s population. It connects via skybridge to the DoubleTree by Hilton Lansing and is across the street from Jackson Field and its 2,000-square-foot special-events venue, The View!, which can host banquets for up to 150 guests.
"We look forward to the enhanced connectivity and expanded resources that Legends/ASM Global will bring to our destination through its management of the Lansing Center, Jackson Field, and Groesbeck Golf Course,” said Julie Pingston, president & CEO of Choose Lansing, the destination marketing organization for the Lansing region. “Their expertise will unlock new opportunities to elevate the customer experience at these key venues, driving greater economic impact for our community."
