The Bridgewater Hall (BWH) is one of the most prestigious and important performing arts venues in the United Kingdom with a significant international reputation. The venue hosts classical music concerts, rock, pop and a wide range of contemporary performances, along with educational institution graduations/presentations, conferences and seminars. In addition the Venue programmes a number of its own performances and events annually.
The Stage Manager works as part of the Technical and Operations team to ensure that all clients and patrons of the Hall receive the highest standard of technical assistance; in particular as this relates to the aspects of mounting performances. The Operations Department ensures that a stage manager is present for all orchestral rehearsals and concerts and that the relevant spaces are kept in an excellent and presentable order at all times.
Evening and weekend work are mandatory requirements of the role.
