To lead on all aspects of the hospitality and C&E operation on behalf of the F&B Department and proactively develop strategies to enhance sales and standards matching the needs of our guests and clients.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • To work with the Head of F&B in achieving objectives and manage the day to day running of the hospitality and C&E operation, constantly seeking to improve product and quality in a manner that ensures guest satisfaction.
  • Ensuring tasks are assigned and implemented in accordance with SOPs, policies and legal requirements for all events and that stock rotation, cleaning procedures and suitable stock levels are in place.
  • To ensure staffing levels are adequate and relevant in line with shift patterns and report wage forecasting and payroll to Head of F&B.
  • Drive standards by creating SOP manuals and ensure they are updated regularly.
  • To control and achieve agreed financial targets whilst maximising all commercial opportunities.
  • To develop and evolve all client services of the catering operation, ensuring regular adjustments and improvements are both recommended and implemented.
  • To be responsible for all personnel assigned to the catering services, irrespective of whether or not they are employees of the Company, in accordance with Company personnel and training policies.
  • To ensure that the location meets statutory and company requirements of Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislations and procedures.
  • Work alongside the Sales and Hospitality department and relevant external contractors to co-ordinate activities for clients.
  • Liaise with the Head of F&B and the Bars Manager to ensure stock levels are maintained in line with the events calendar and raise purchase orders when required.
  • To be guest focused at all times, by being visible during service periods, approachable and quick to exceed expectations in fulfilling guest requests.
  • To ensure all food is presented and served in line with company standards, using innovation in the method and style of presentation and food service.
  • Provide cover in the absence of the Head of F&B.

Person Specification

  • A proven record of working in a similar environment ideally within the entertainment/leisure industry.
  • Managed food service & delivery for dinners of up to 600 guests.
  • Have previous team leader, supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience of organising hospitality, functions and events.
  • Have a thorough understanding of food hygiene and health and safety regulations and hold basic food hygiene certificate.
  • Experience of managing staff.
  • Experience of providing excellent customer care.
  • Experience of budget/cost management.
  • Experience of working with staff at all levels throughout a company.
  • Proven IT experience including Microsoft suite and EPOS systems.

General information:

The requirements of the business are such that a high degree of flexibility is necessary and therefore some evening and weekend work will be required. Additionally, there will be occasions where there will be a requirement to work at other venues operated by ASM Global.
