The Playhouse Whitley Bay is a 638 seat theatre and North Tyneside’s flagship venue, located on the glorious North East coast. The venue hosts approximately 300 events per year covering everything from community events to national touring shows including stand-up comedy, live music and a wide variety of entertainment events.

We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic individuals to join our food and beverage team working on a casual event driven basis.
Customer service is at the heart of everything we do and we are looking for team players that can make a positive contribution to the overall customer experience. We welcome applicants who take pride in their work, have a positive friendly attitude and possess excellent communication skills. We are looking for staff with experience of working busy events in a high-pressured environment.
•Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages
•Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
•Assess customers’ needs and meet them
•Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
•Restock and replenish inventory and supplies
•Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
•Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Successful applicants will be invited to join our casual database, giving them the opportunity to sign up for event-based shifts. This is a casual, event-based vacancy and will include evening and weekend work.
Full on the job training will be provided for all successful candidates.
Rate of Pay: from £9.50 per hour, plus holiday pay accrual
